It all started in Pennypacker…  We go back thirty years when we met as Freshmen at Harvard. Being placed in one of the few dorms outside of the freshman yard, Pennypacker, we quickly bonded with each other and our dorm mates. We went on to live together in one of Harvard’s most traditional river houses, Eliot House. We treasure the memories of our years at Harvard, the things we learned and the people we met have shaped our lives. We grew to appreciate how important it is to find the right college fit.

After years of interviewing for Harvard and then going through the college admissions process with our own kids, we started offering college admissions advice to friends and family. We’ve seen many successful and sophisticated parents who nonetheless found themselves totally unprepared and desperate for guidance (often quite late in the process). High schools, especially prestigious private schools, often promise parents more than they can deliver in terms of college counseling. And the interests of the schools conflict in subtle ways that impact the advice they provide students. We found sharing our knowledge, demystifying the process and helping set young adults on the path to success very rewarding and have decided to spend the second half of our careers helping students best position and present themselves to schools.
